Nijhof-Wassink Group acquires Wemmers Tanktransport, expert in liquid food

Wemmers Tanktransport and transport company Nijhof-Wassink Group have reached agreement regarding their intention to merge their activities. All activities, branches and employees of Wemmers Tanktransport will become part of the Nijhof-Wassink Group from 1 January 2022.

Tank transport company Wemmers is specialized in liquid food, such as chocolates, juices, vegetable oils, and wines. With a network of international offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, and Czech Republic, it unburdens clients with logistic services throughout Europe, in every possible modality. In addition, Wemmers provides tank cleaning services according to high quality standards and complaint with strictest regulations. It employs over 350 people in five different countries and operates 245 trucks and over 400 trailers.

Nijhof-Wassink Group is a specialist in the transport and storage of dry and liquid bulk goods for the chemical and animal feed industry and the food sector, operating intermodally by road, rail, and water. It employs 1.750 colleagues based in eight different counties and operates almost 800 different truck-trailer combinations.
