Certina Holding acquires the German paper mill “Papierfabrik Meldorf”

Hamburg Commercial Bank acted as exclusive M&A advisor to Panther Packaging on the sale of “Papierfabrik Meldorf” to Certina Holding

Panther Packaging is a German family-owned company with c. 1,000 employees and revenues of c. EUR 300m focusing on packaging solutions, corrugated board, preprint products, displays and complementary services. As part of a strategic realignment with stronger focus on its core competencies, the seller decided to divest its shareholding in "Papierfabrik Meldorf" under the condition that a successor is further operating the paper mill and secures jobs as well as going concern of the business. Certina Holding is a family-owned and managed industrial holding company based in Munich aiming for the acquisition of companies in special situations with operational improvement potential.
